This project commenced in May and will continue for the duration of 2019.
Ripple Farm is in East Kent. It employs organic farming methods, with sustainability given a high priority. This encourages and promotes a wide bio diversity, with evidence of top predators, such as Raptors and other rare wildlife.
The aim is to photograph as much of this diversity as possible. The project began with a focus on birds and has now expanded to include butterflies and insects. All pictures are taken in two relatively small fields totalling about 40 hectares. The diversity is considerable. Some highlights include: Sky Lark, Song Thrush, Kestrel, Meadow Pipet, Swallows. Butterflies include: Red Admiral, Peacock, Marbled White, Ringlet, Comma, Gate Keeper. Others will be added as they are captured. Here are just a few early pictures - with more to follow.
