This project commenced in May 2019 and completed in November of the same year.
Ripple Farm is in East Kent. It employs organic farming methods, with sustainability given a high priority. This encourages and promotes a wide bio diversity, with evidence of top predators, such as Raptors and other rare wildlife.
The aim was to photograph as much of this diversity as possible. The project began with a focus on birds and then expanded to include butterflies and insects. All pictures were taken in two relatively small fields totalling about 40 hectares. The diversity is considerable. Some highlights include: Sky Lark, Song Thrush, Kestrel, Meadow Pipet, Swallows. Butterflies include: Red Admiral, Peacock, Marbled White, Ringlet, Comma, Gate Keeper.
